My Pathfinders are OBSESSED with Candy. We inject a good amount of healthy eating and cooking into our program, but at the end of the day—Kids are Kids and so be it!
I really love this candy wrapper pouch tutorial. With Halloween coming up, it’s a great way to procure these colourful, familiar and fun wrappers without the extra guilt of encouraging the girls to eat candy.

This project may look a little intimidating if you aren’t familiar with sewing zippers, but I swear it is super easy! This tutorial will have whipping out zipper projects in no time!

I would classify this as a Beginner+ level project. You don’t need a ton of sewing skills, but should be familiar with a sewing machine and the basics of stitching a straight line. (For beginner sewing machine projects, to get the girls familiar with the sewing machine, I highly recommend sewing up some simple face cloths from up-cycled material such as receiving blankets.)
I think Pathfinders would love to make these for school, maybe even make a few for their friends.
