I looooove being able to make my own adventure gear! Camping and especially backcountry camping gear can be terribly expensive and prohibitive. I encourage my young adventurers in Pathfinders and Rangers to make as much of their own gear as they can, saving their money for the items they are not able to DIY.

This tutorial for making a sleeping pad is excellent. Not only will it teach your PF/Rs some additional sewing skills, it will help make their outdoor adventure more comfortable and autonomous!
